Standing in the magnificent and elegant National Museum, I am so excited and deeply touched to see so many leaders and guests who participated in the opening ceremony of my painting exhibition!Standing in the magnificent and elegant National Museum, I am so excited and deeply touched to see so many leaders and guests who participated in the opening ceremony of my painting exhibition!

Affected by my family, I like to write and draw since I was a child. In the special era in 1968, due to specific social reasons, misfortunes occurred to my family. At the age of 14, I also had the painful experience of fighting, sinning, and shame parading. Under the pressure of such an environment, I suddenly grew up from an innocent teenager and became mature. I had to master a special skill - painting, in order to survive in the future society.

This kind of motivation prompted me to draw sketches and copy comic books every day. Then, I made some help in the factory’s propaganda team. Two years later, I could draw huge figures of the giant. Just as expected, when I began to work in 1970, I was transferred to the Political Department due to painting specialty, instead of doing those hard and tired loading works. In the subsequent political movements and social changes, the special features of paintings became my amulet and auspicious tree. Later, I was transferred to the commercial unit because of the same reason and continued to work on painting stuff.

On my way to the art, the goddess of fate treated me good but cruel. As to good treatment, when I participated in the municipal art creation class in 1972, I was fortunate to have three months of professional training under the guidance of two teachers, Li Hua and Su Gaoli, from the Central Academy of Fine Arts. During that period, I learned a lot about sketching and oil painting. In 1974, I took my oil painting to Beijing to ask Mr. Liang Yulong for advice, and got his precious directions. In 1978, the famous painter Zhang Wenxin went to Handan to the paint Towing Mountain Taihang, and I was his assistant and model. Since then, we have kept our relationship for nearly 40 years. As to cruel treatment, in that special era, I missed the Central Academy of Fine Arts for twice because of well-known reasons. The first time was in 1976, Mr. Su Gaoli went to Handan to enroll students. I was the only candidate for the recommendation of the Handan Municipal Cultural Center with the highest test scores in the province, but I lost the chance because of the political review. The second time was in 1977, when the Central People’s Broadcasting Station broadcasted the information to resume the college entrance examination, I went through all the time and spent three months for self-study. And I passed the examination even I just had some knowledge of primary school level. However, for the same reason, I missed the Central Academy of Fine Arts again.

In order to survive, I have been working hard in the business since then, but the art still attracts me. In my spare time, I practice my calligraphy, do photography, look pictures and must visit art galleries and museums abroad for business. I am doing business but my heart always love the art.

There are some reasons for me to choose Tibetan style as the theme of creation. In 1972, in Beijing, Mr. Su led us to visit Dong Xiwen's house and I saw his Tibetan oil painting sketch, which was strongly shocked me. In 1977, I watched Chen Danqing’s oil painting Tears Spilled in the Field at the National Art Museum of China, which made me touched again. Going to Tibet and painting Tibet has become my dream since them.

In 2006, I set foot on the land of Tibet for the first time.

The splendid snow-capped mountains, the blue sky and white clouds, as well as the simplicity of the high-atomic people, let me know what is the most beautiful and pure thing in the world. It is the nature of human beings and the radiance of the human soul.

Focusing on the Tibet style means hardship and risks. I met landslides, mudslides, colds, fever and even the experience of mostly closing to death during a dozen times of touring and sketching in Tibet.

In 2011, at an altitude of more than 5,000 meters in Tibet Shuanghu, because I did not see any figure for a long time, suddenly saw a group of yaks, I was so excited to get off. Just because I walked a few steps quickly and didn't breath well when I took pictures, I felt dizziest and uncomfortable. My experience made me understand that I could be left here forever. But just because I entered Tibet many times, no one could save me but myself. So I went back to the car and sat down slowly, strongly pinched my heart channel acupoint of the left wrist by right hand. People have souls. I remembered the scene of the TV play The Years of Burning Passion, where Zhu Qin called for Shi Guangrong, so I constantly called myself: “Han Yuchen! Han Yuchen! You can't die, you have to hold on. So many brothers come with you to Tibet, you have to bring them back. Han Yuchen! Han Yuchen! You can't die! More than 20,000 employees in Sunshine Group still need you to lead them to continue their business. Han Yuchen! Han Yuchen! You can't die! Your parents, wife and children still need your care.” In this way, more than half of an hour passed, I gradually calmed down and felt more comfortable. I will never forget this kind of experience.

It was because of this experience that the God favored me. In the next morning, I saw the scene in my oil painting Shepherdess in the cave of Ali. A young girl with a net hunter rushed hundreds of sheep to the pasture, swaying the dust—what a natural oil painting. A few months later, this painting was completed. When this work won the award in France, media asked me how to get it, and I said that this painting was exchanged for my life.

Impacted by the art of painting for many years, I understand that the art can help, guide and infect people. Therefore, when the company had a certain scale, I started collecting European oil paintings and founded the art gallery. The goal is to make more people like the art and look forward to the purity of the soul through high-quality collections like me.

Time goes by quickly. I have been painting oil painting since the beginning of 1968, and now it is nearly 50 years. I am counted for a veteran of the art world, but I still can’t compare with the predecessors on the stage. I stopped for many years because of my business. It is Tibet that revives the passion of my creation. 9 years ago, I restarted painting. I spent all my spare time in painting. I have to take back the wasted time. In the past nine years, I painted nearly 100 oil paintings, took a large number of photos, and wrote hundreds of poems. I want to use these works to report to the society and people. This is also the emotion of a Chinese artist.

Today, I can held my exhibition successfully, thousands of words in my heart, but I have to stop because of the limited time. My successful exhibition in here has won the full support of the National Museum of China, the Chinese Art Academy, the Chinese Artists Association and the Hebei Provincial Federation of Literature and Art, as well as the enthusiastic support of Zhan Jianjun, Shao Dazhen, Zhong Han, Su Gaoli and other teachers.

The favor of drop water, should be rewarded with emerging font. Your support to me will always be remembered in my heart! Finally, I will express my sincere gratitude to you again in a sly way!
