Han Yuchen, born in Jilin Province in 1954, was well-educated in Chinesecalligraphyand painting in childhood.
In 1972, he participated in art creation workshops in Handan and started his professional sketch and oil painting training under the guidance of Li Ye and Su Gaoli, the teachers from China Central Academy of Fine Arts.
Since 1978, he has studied under the famous painter, Zhang Wenxin. The friendship between teachers and students last 40 years.
Han Yuchen has been to Tibet area for dozens of times to collect art creation ideas and produce landscape sketches since 1996. His paintings and photographs have won many awards and have been collected for political and artistic institutions in the domestic and overseas.

Han Yuchen is currently a deputy to the National People's Congress of the People's Republic of China, a honorary member of China Artists Association of Oil Painting Art Committee, an emeritus professor of Repin Academy of Fine Arts in Russia, a member of Oil painting honor committee of Chinese Artists Association, a member of Chinese Calligraphers Association, vice chairman of Hebei Calligraphers’’ Association, a member of Chinese Photographers Association, a member of Chinese poetry couplets Association and the president of Handan Yangguang Group.
